"Be sure to fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully
with all your heart; consider what great things
He has done for you."
1 Samuel 12:24

 

This week I want to focus on our faith in GOD.  We aren't to just serve Him faithfully but also with all our heart.  So that not just are we serving Him with half or three-fourth's capacity, but with max capacity, not leaving anything out.  It's kinda like getting on an elevator that says max capacity is 2500 lb,  they would have had to research that to know what max capacity was.  Well, GOD knows our hearts, He has searched them and knows what our max capacity is, and that's all He wants from us.

Now I know your thinking why should I have to love GOD and serve Him faithfully with my whole heart?  Can't I serve Him with part of my heart and then the things I want to with the rest, such as money?  A job for instance can get to the point were we're only in it for the money, so we can buy the newest biggest and baddest toy.  What does JESUS have to say about this?

"No one can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both GOD and money."  Matthew 6:24

That looks pretty clear cut and simple to me, it's GOD or our love for material stuff.  We cant have both so what's it gonna be?  Are we going to love and serve GOD faithfully, or live for the things that we want?  What's more important to you?
