Faithfulness

"He will cover you with His feathers,
and under His wings you will find
refuge; His faithfulness will be your
shield and rampart."
Psalms 91:4

 

I can sum this up for you in one word, FORTRESS.  GOD is our fort to fall back on when there is nowhere left for us to turn.  It is because of His faithfulness to us that He is always going to be there to hide us in the shadow of His wings.  As a shield hides us from any damage our enemy tries to throw our way, He is always there to keep it from slamming us in the face.  If it were up to the devil we would never get a break from the barrage that is always headed our way.

Satan is a spear throwing jerk, he is always looking for a time when our guard is down to throw something new our way.  He is always laying in wait, setting up a trap for us to fall flat on our face when we least expect it.  Now, just because we fall down doesn't mean we gotta stay down. JESUS will always be there to lift us back up when we fall off our ride, all we have to do is get back on and try again.

GOD is our stronghold to fall back on when the things of this world start to get to be too much for us and beat us down.  His faithfulness keeps Him always at our side ready and willing to lend us a hand when we are in the most need of it.  So don't get downs just cause your down, get back on your ride and try again, who knows the next time might be the time that you get it right.
