Have you heard the old children's rhyme that says:

Sticks and Stones
May break my bones
But WORDS will never hurt me.

Do you believe that?  Well, sticks and stones may break bones.  And that would cause some pain.  The pain would be physical.  Painful indeed, but with a little time and healing, the bones mend and the pain goes away.

As far as I can tell, the pain that comes from words is a deeper kind of pain.  It is far reaching and devastating.  The wounds are invisible but result in catastrophic changes in a person's life.

Here are some results of words that have been spoken to us . . .

Internal
Fear
Loneliness
Insecurity
Anger
Bitterness
Unforgiveness

External
Divorce
Addiction
Murder
Violence
Crime
Separation from Family and Friends

There are more of course, and you may be able to pick some out of your own life.  I believe that everybody has some of the above going on as the direct result of words that have been spoken.  If you feel this is the case, and you would like to find a way out, click here to proceed. . . . . .
